98年的夏天，台灣的熱浪正一波一波襲來，規劃了半年之久的英國冰島遊終於成行了。
採用英航的套裝遊轉了三個機場，第一站來到蘇格蘭的愛丁堡，因為該套裝行程限制不能選飯店，離市區太遠有點小煩惱。
不過看到微涼的天氣、美美的景色，就懶的抱怨了，畢竟，還有十七天要玩呢。
來到愛丁堡的大門前廣場，為兩週後軍樂節準備好的看臺已經蓋好，因為沒法湊好假期而能實際體驗軍樂加煙火的震撼(當時差一點補到票四人才55鎊
興奮兩天)，又一遺憾。愛丁堡門票超貴，但是售票員還蠻親切、有時還很逗趣用各國語言請人往前補位，等半個多小時一下子就排到票了，小朋友和奶奶就先呆在服務中心和賣店，俟後一同進入，購物兼等候還蠻有生意頭腦的。
這城堡入口比日本城堡小很多，看樣子歐洲的敵人比較兇狠。
門口一男一女收票員一看就知道是在打工的，不但聊天還打情罵俏，有失皇室尊嚴。
城堡位於制高點可遠眺海口，不過以前的砲彈應該打不到海邊，愛丁堡市區目前正在進行輕軌電車的建設，所以一些熱鬧的市區景點變得不方便前往，其實時間也不夠，只好割愛。

Activision's "Guitar Hero" violates patent-Gibson

SAN FRANCISCO/LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Gibson Guitar Inc has told Activision Inc that its wildly popular "Guitar Hero" video games infringe one of Gibson's patents, and Activision has asked a U.S. court to find the claim invalid.
